Oh Those Eyes – My Little Man Noah!
We where just hanging out tonight at my daughter’s dance class – Noah was feeling good he had a good day playing outside today (in the mud) at Amanda’s and he still had lots of energy while we waited for Meg’s at dance. He was up & down the stairs racing around his “dinky car” – his special blue one that Mom had just bought for him (he was so proud of it). After he was settled down somewhat he finally sat on Mom’s lap when all of a sudden he started crying for his ‘picky”. “Picky” is his Favourite Blanket Auntie Lisa gave him when he was born. Well we didn’t have it – but we had a ‘back-up’ picky in the car. The poor little guy cried all the way home and still cried when we got home and he looked like the “one eyed monster” – he would not take his little hand away from his eye for over an hour.
Well what does a mother do – load him in the car and take him to the Clinic. We where stitting in the waiting room (luckily not many people where there). He looked at me with those beautiful eyes ( the one eye covered with his little hand) and said “So …… Mom how was your day?” He also like’s to ask me how my day is about 9:00 am in the morning too (I love when he says that). So here we are and he says that – (it was truly one of those moments for the “memory bank”).
Poor little guy still covering his eye not letting anyone see it – Finally the Doctor did see it. Little eyelashes where crusted in little eyes. She tried to put a dye in his eye to check for scratches too – but it didn’t work. AWWW…. Noah – imagine what a little Man of 2 feels like when he has eyelashes stuck in his eye and has poked his eye somehow with his toy or bumped it into something? Well we walked out and he still had his ‘dinky car’ – a new sucker (from the receptionist) a toy spider & his picky in his hand and out we went “eyelash free” – his eye is a little red & tender and but grateful again it was just a little “bump” in the road . I think it will match his Boo – Boo on his head and another Boo Boo on his foot!
He is my little monkey! Oh those Eyes ………… He makes me melt! (I must admit I adore those eyes – when my “Little Man ” is snoring & dreaming about his adventures of another day! ).
Talk to you soon –
Nancy
